From the U.S. market to the European Accessibility Act: our story, year by year.
The Accessibi project was born by choosing the most mature market in terms of accessibility legislation as its starting point: the United States. Here, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has shaped, over decades, a landscape where true compliance demands a rigorous, substantive approach. We studied American case law in depth, understanding that only usability tests conducted with real people could guarantee legal validity and practical effectiveness, rejecting automation shortcuts from the very start.
Building on the knowledge gained in the U.S. market, in 2022 we strengthened our research and development area. Innovation focused on refining our human testing methodologies and improving our reporting processes to meet the complex needs of businesses. This allowed us to consolidate a service of the highest quality in the United States, grounded in evidence and in users’ direct experience.
With growing awareness and new regulations approaching in the old continent as well, we began expanding into the European market. The experience gained in the USA gave us a unique strategic advantage. Joining Web Solution Group strengthened our operational capabilities, allowing us to offer our approach based on real usability testing at scale.
With the European Accessibility Act taking effect on June 28, 2025, compliance obligations became a concrete reality in Europe as well.
